2008 IN REVIEW
2008 Conservancy Challenge
The Conservancy Challenge was a great success! With over 100 players, the support of Ford’s Colony Country Club and many other generous sponsors and donors, the Conservancy was able to raise over $20,000 to help carry out their mission. Click on the links below to enjoy photos of the day, to view complete lists of our prestigious supporters and the committee who worked so hard to make the Conservancy Challenge such a great success.
Registration went smoothly, and participants had the chance to purchase tournament day raffle tickets and more. Before they went to the putting contest or driving range prior to the start of the tournament, players had the opportunity to look at the items for the 2008 Silent Auction. Dedicated Conservancy volunteers staffed all of the activities surrounding registration
Tournament The players heard the rules from Don Baker, chair of tournament operations, and then were off and running for a great day of golf! Instead of Mulligans, players were able to purchase a 20” piece of string to help them get closer to the cup and be able to “sink that putt!” A putting contest drew a large crowd of finalists!
Reception Following a successful tournament, food and beverages were enjoyed by all. Raffle prizes were distributed, and the day’s winners were announced!
